Lillestrøm Municipality manages a large and diverse building portfolio, ranging from schools and kindergartens to care homes and fire stations. To ensure efficient operations, reduce energy consumption, and maintain a healthy indoor climate, the municipality has chosen Zaphire as its top system for building automation and energy monitoring.
The municipality faced challenges in maintaining an overview across many different buildings and systems:

Zaphire was selected through a public tender, and since 2018 the municipality has worked closely with the Zaphire team to tailor the platform to its needs. The solution provides Lillestrøm with full oversight of 127 buildings, accessible from mobile, tablet, and PC.
The system integrates seamlessly with existing BMS installations, IoT devices, and third-party systems. More than 200 users have customized access levels, ranging from kindergarten managers monitoring indoor climate to janitors who can resolve issues instantly on site.
In addition, Zaphire offers advanced automation and notifications, including hierarchical alarms and integration with weather data, making it easier to prevent and manage deviations in the municipality’s buildings.
